Getting Error – The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet?

Are you seeing the below error while trying to upload Responsive Plus plugin?

If yes, below is the solution –

This error occurs when users mistake the Responsive Plus plugin for a WordPress theme and attempt to install it as one.

However, Responsive Plus is a plugin that extends the free Responsive theme and adds more features.

So, to fix this error, install Responsive Plus as a plugin through the WordPress backend as described below.

Step 1: To upload a plugin zip, navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin from the WordPress dashboard.

Step 2: Upload the downloaded Responsive Plus plugin zip file from Cyberchimps Dashboard.

Step 3: Activate the plugin.

This way, you’ve installed and activated the Responsive Plus plugin on your site.

You will find the Responsive Plus plugin settings by going to the Responsive options menu.
